“24” nukes Los Angeles!!

January 15, 2007

It just happened, and I’m in stunned silence with my jaw dropped. On the FOX TV show “24”, terrorists detonated a low-yield “suitcase” nuclear bomb in the L.A. suburb of Valencia.

And , ***spoiler alert*** … The agents at the Counter-Terrorism Unit say there may be FOUR more in the country somewhere.

Here’s the video of the final moments from a poster at YouTube:

Weapons of mass destruction are no stranger on this drama. “24” did it first, in season 2, detonating a nuke warhead in Death Valley, sparing L.A. (Jack Bauer saw it up close, parachuting out of the plane that crashed with the bomb)

The fallout (no pun intended) freaked out Los Angeles residents in the middle of the night.

Here’s a clip of the explosion via YouTube:

Then, in Season 4, an electro-magnetic pulse weapon wiped out L.A.’s electronics for a quarter of the city.

Then, CBS’ series “Jericho” showed us an after-the-bomb scenario in rural Kansas, with the town cut off from civilization and unsure of what’s happened to their country.

This season of “24” has hooked me like no other. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) was ready to give up due to the shooting of a close friend, but the sight of the mushroom cloud … well … shocked him back to reality.

Here are some screengrabs, courtesy of FOX and Imagine Entertainment. Remember, the DVD of the 4-hour premiere is out in stores tomorrow. Go get it! And get ready for a thrill ride!

So now that Muslim extremists have nuked L.A. on TV, how long until real Muslim groups in the country scream in protest?

And how long until Jack’s daughter Kim reappears and finds a way to screw this all up? (haha…if you’ve watched, I’m sure you laughed at that.)

[UPDATE: NY Post did a story on the 24 episode…]

Nothing but fear mongering propaganda. Scaring the masses is the time tested way to get them to submit to tyranny.

P.S. 9/11 was an inside job.

You lost me as soon as that site you mentioned cited Rep. Cynthia McKinney as source material. Next you’ll be telling me that a jumbo jet didn’t crash into the Pentagon and that we imploded the Trade Center with explosives…

Please note that FOX one time did a Pilot for the Lone GunMen the spinoff from X Files and it came true

“The Lone Gunmen, the Complete Series (Fox) – Back in 2001, when The X-Files was breathing its last prime-time gasp, this oddball spinoff series hit the airwaves for 13 episodes. The three unlikely conspiracy investigators built their own little cult following with the show, still shot in Vancouver after the original fled to sunny California.
The most remarkable episode… aired just a few months before 9/11 with an incredibly prescient plot about terrorists hijacking an airliner and threatening to crash it into the World Trade Center. Except, in this plot, the terrorists were a cabal within the U.S. government itself.
On the episode’s commentary track, the creators themselves cannot believe the irony. They recall how, in the immediate hours after the event when it wasn’t known who was responsible, they feared their story might have inspired the real terrorists.” (03/28/05)
